Yksi Syyssunnuntai - One Autumn Sunday

Kaunis syyskuun sunnuntai, ei aikaa laiskotteluun...

A beautiful Sunday of September, no time for laziness...

Siirtoa odotelleet puut ja pensaat pääsivät uusille paikoille.

The trees and shrubs, which had been waiting for the move, finally got their new positions.

Uusi japaninsiipipähkinä (Pterocarya rhoifolia), jonka ostin viime viikolla Annalan sadonkorjuujuhlista.

The new Japanese Wingnut (Pterocarya rhoifolia), which I bought from the Annala harvest fiest last week.

Kaksi vuotta vanha kameliajasmike (Philadelphus x virginalis), jonka rusakot söivät viime talvena.

Two years old Virginal mock orange (Philadelphus x virginalis), which the hares ate during last winter.

Tänä vuonna yritän ehtiä suojata kaiken ennen rusakoiden tuloa... ensimmäisenä suojat sai nuori Tallinnan päärynäomena.

This year I'm going to be aware and protect everything before the hares arrive... the first one protected was the young apple tree "Tallinn pear-apple".

Apple time

...and time to start posting something here, finally, I quess.

The old apple trees surprised me this year. The nearly-dead-but-so-beautifully-chekhovian-tree gave us some surprisingly sweet gifts. I kind of knew that already in May when I took the photos of these rose blossoms.

Even the youngest member of my apple family, Tallinn Pear-apple (Tallinnan päärynäomena) had five small, sweet and so red apples.

Now I just don't know what to do with all those fruits...
Maybe I'll start with an apple pie.
